the summer stitchalong wrap-up!

Over the past few months, my Summer Stitchalong students worked on their class projects from the kits I sent out. This was a new way of teaching for me - conducting a virtual workshop with a kit, videos and zoom meetings. What a great success it turned out to be! The finished projects blew me away with their artistry and creative charm. Working from the same materials and plan, each one is so unique and personal to the style of the maker. Even though we weren’t gathered around a table in the same room, we built a community of makers supporting each other in the Facebook group and in zoom meetings. It was truly a wonderful way to focus our spirits and creativity while we stayed at home during the pandemic. One student said, “This workshop is one of the best things I’ve done all year!”
